OCAS Selected as a 2018 Waterloo Area Top Employer
GUELPH, ON, November 25, 2017 – For the third consecutive year, OCAS – a not-for-profit organization with 73 employees - has been named one of Waterloo Area’s Top Employers. The annual competition, organized by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers, recognizes employers in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and Guelph who lead their industries in offering exceptional work environments.
“This year has been one of significant growth for us,” says Karen Creditor, President & CEO of OCAS. “As we continue to create new opportunities to support both Ontario college applicants and our public colleges, it’s vital that we ensure our organization remains a fun and effective place to work. This award recognizes the balance we’ve worked so hard to maintain and the pride we take in both our service and our corporate culture. We’re honoured to receive it for the third year in a row.”
Companies were evaluated based on the same eight standards as the national competition: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social activities; health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.
